The Vancouver Board of Trade, under new President Iain Black, needed to lower out-of-control IT costs. With 17 disparate IT Systems streamlining business processes and gaining operational efficiencies was a must have.

Reporting directly to the President, Faciant Consulting was brought in for 3 phases of work:

Phase 1 Assess current state, identify problem areas and make recommendations:

  • Value review of all 3rd party contracts
  • Review all internal business processes
  • Assess all HW/SW platforms for currency and optimize
  • Phase 2 Manage and drive the recommendations:

  • Re-negotiate, optimize or eliminate all 3rd party contracts
  • Research and recommend a All-In-One ERP system
  • Consolidated 17 disparate server – based systems down to 2
  • Phase 3 Drive the delivery of the selected Phase 2 ERP system

    Faciant delivered a 50% reduction in year over year operating costs and consolidated their out of date and disparate systems onto a single Industry specific ERP system that now controls Accounting, Events Membership and Sales.
